Hanuman

I have been trying to get a handle on the art style of Thai mythology. The stories are great, and the artwork is so unique. I bought a book by the author / artist “Suwanya”. In it, he gives examples and tutorials on how to draw Thai style. It can be very intricate work to say the least. I am starting simply, and will hopefully work my way up. Please have a look at Hanuman tee, and see what you think.

Ahhh…where would we be without our friends. If you’re having trouble figuring out what this is, just imagine you’ve had just a few too many beers (quit shaking your head, we’ve all done it). You have just regained some measure of consciousness, and are looking up at all your friends, who are looking down and laughing at your silly drunk ass.

A little buggy humor to start everyone’s day off right. This started, because my friend Rain-Dogs has an eye for nature photography. He happen to catch a shot of two bugs doing the horizontal mambo, so I retaliated with this tee design. You can find all my other works at Mobii’s Bubble.

Alice was definitely an original. I started doing these as sort of tribute / fan art to musicians and other famous people whose careers I have followed in my life. Sometimes it was just a song that made me feel good, or a movie that I like to watch a few times a year. Maybe you will see one of your heroes at Mobii’s Bubble.

ORIGAMI IS BEAUTIFUL! There, I said it. Ok, now quit snickering, I meant beautiful in a manly man type of way! It is amazing what people can do with little scraps of paper. Mui-Ling Teh is a friend on RedBubble. She makes all sorts of little animals and such that are so incredibly small. I think she starts with paper that is like 3mm x 3mm or something. Anyway, seeing her designs made me wonder about putting the directions for origami critters on t-shirts. People are staring at your shirt anyway, so give them something to do. Kind of like a reward. Awww! I got yer Tweet right here Bubba. I guess I am just not up to speed with all of this Retweeted Twitter Tweeting. It reminds me of the Facebook craze a few years ago. You were only someone if you had 10,000 friends or whatever. I admit that it is useful to keep friends and people you colab with up to speed on what you are doing, but some of these guys get a bit nuts. 50 Tweets a day? Whose life is that interesting? I really like working with black and white designs. The images seem so much more intense. I think they have to be because you don’t have the luxury of accenting things with colors. I especially like doing these faces. They are mostly Japanese women. Their faces just seem to lend themselves well to this medium. I have 10 of them so far, and you can see them at Mobii’s Bubble.
